About Us
Grace Muriel House in St Albans is home to 37 older people. The house is purpose built and is maintained to
a high standard of decor having had
a major redevelopment and upgrade
in October 2002, which included the addition of ten new rooms and the provision of 17 rooms with their own
en-suite facilities.
The House is managed by a Board of unpaid Trustees, who delegate the
day-to-day running and management
to the Registered Manager.
Grace Muriel House is registered as a care home under the National Minimum
Standards and Care Home Regulations 2001.
The Care Quality Commission regulate and inspect our service.

The house is owned and managed by The Abbeyfield St Albans Society Ltd and is a member
of the national Abbeyfield Society. The St. Albans Society was founded in 1960 and moved into the purpose-built Grace Muriel House, named after a major benefactor, in 1972. The Society operates within the Guiding Principles of its parent body, The Abbeyfield Society. |
